Apparently, if you live in Houston or San Antonio, chances are good you’ve at least thought about having plastic surgery. RealSelf, an online community of people opting for elective cosmetic procedures, compared its data to glean which parts of the United States were most interested in plastic surgery. As it turns out, these two Texas cities ranked among the top 10.
2 Texas Cities Rank in Top 10 Opting for Plastic Surgery
L.A. Didn’t Clear the Top 10!
With Houston coming in at number eight and San Antonio ranking number two, the website prepared its list of top trends for 2016 and posted it here for review. You might be surprised to know that Los Angeles is nowhere in the top 10! And although San Antonio and Houston are the only cities from Texas to show up on this plastic surgery ranking, the city of Austin ranked number six for nonsurgical treatments, including those such as lasers and lip fillers.
“…A Seemingly Effortless Appearance…”
The website predicts that fillers will grow in popularity in 2017, based on the uptick in use since Juvederm’s Vobella received its FDA approval in June. RealSelf theorizes that celebrity use will largely be behind this treatment, and identifies that “like never before, celebrities like Kaley Cuoco and Kim Kardashian West are owning up to the practices that have helped them achieve a seemingly effortless appearance.” Curious as to what city ranked number one? Check out the RealSelf (insert irony here) to see.
