Watson will be the final performance in Burnet’s Summer Concert series, an event that has hosted artists such as Reckless Kelly and Roger Creager. Randall King will also make a special appearance as an opener for the show.

A native of West Texas, Watson blasted onto the Billboard Country Album Chart with his number one album, “The Underdog,” in 2015. Now, two years later, he recently released his newest collection of songs, “Vaquero.” According to his website, the cowboy crooner wrote many of the songs found on his latest album while traveling between shows for the past two years. Altogether, he and his band have played in six countries and over 35 states.

Even though he has become a well-recognized figure in the world of Texas Country Music, Watson has stayed true to his roots. The following quote from his biography sums up how the artist feels about his musical style. “It doesn’t really matter whether I’m playing a dance hall in Texas or a stadium tour around the world, I’m just me,” he says. “I won’t change.”
