Okay, so this one is not exactly in New Braunfels, but it’s close. For those who want to be a bit further away from the crowds, The Old Mill Store offers sweet treats from days gone by in Wimberley. Children may color with crayon rocks, mine for rocks in the Old Mill Mining Cart, and enjoy Fredericksburg Fudge, Jelly Bellies, and old fashioned candy sticks while adults shop. Offering furniture, art, and jewelry by featured artists, The Old Mill Store also has hand painted bluebonnet pottery, scented honey comb calcite votives, and handmade soaps among other items. 5. Red Rooster Antique & Design Center

Red Rooster has a wide variety of merchandise. Carrying western and primitive décor, furniture, jewelry, clocks, rugs, handmade quilts, original artwork, apparel, and shabby chic treasures, this 25,000 square foot gallery houses 65 booths. Not for the faint of heart, this large scale antique shop is for those who love “the hunt.” Open Monday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 971 West San Antonio Street, New Braunfels, Texas.

Black Swan features “Old World Antiques shipped directly from England and Europe.”  Including porcelain stoneware, copper items, books, Verbena Soap Company products, and Music of the Spheres wind chimes, this unique shop is located in the Hampe House and is also a historic home in Gruene.
