If, like us, you’re looking forward to spring in the Texas Hill Country, there’s no better way to experience a big part of what this area has to offer than at the Austin Food + Wine Festival! Taking place April 28-30 at Austin’s Auditorium Shores and Fair Market, the festival and its regular fans are gearing up for a full slate of interactive fire pits, food prep demonstrations, live music, and of course wine and cocktail/mocktail tastings – all featuring world-renowned chefs, culinary guests, and sommeliers.

Ticket prices start at $250 (for a two-day pass to daytime events) in addition to “Feast Under the Stars” – an intimate five-course meal with cocktail pairings and dessert – also for $250, and an “All In” package for $625 including evening event access to “Lone Star Nights” and “Rock Your Taco” plus special event access to the “Chef Showcase and Sunday Gospel Brunch” as well as “Tim Love’s Hands-On Grilling Demo.”

Based on the cornucopia of culinary kingpins and sensational newbies that are listed on the event’s website, not to mention its history of great taste, good food, fine pairings, and an all-around well-organized event as evidenced in previous years, these ticket prices are worth it! For two full days of drinking fine wines and beers from both the Texas Hill Country and abroad, exclusive spirits, and mocktails, eating gourmet food prepared specifically for your enjoyment, and the boundless opportunities to meet and learn from some of America’s best chefs, the prices are quite comparable. Considered an investment in quality, hands-on food and wine demonstrations and classes led by culinary professionals and sommeliers, the Austin Food + Wine Festival may change how you look at food preparation in your own home and food enjoyment while you’re out. Cheers, and enjoy!
