Digital road signs above major roads in Austin are getting cheekier. The signs urged drivers to refrain from getting into a “holidaze” while driving in December, and now, the City of Austin is looking for submissions for more clever sayings to grab the attention of drivers.

KUT explains that through February 10th, people can email [email protected] or tweet @austinmobility and use the hashtag #ontheroadATX to submit their musings. The sayings can be up to 42 characters per panel for up to two panels. They’re looking for memorable tips on how to stay safe and be mindful of others.

Some of the ideas the City of Austin Transportation Department already dreamt up take inspiration from Austin icons Matthew McConaughey and Willie Nelson, “LANE CLOSURE AHEAD, ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT” and “MAMMAS DON’T LET UR BABIES TEXT & DRIVE.”

Perhaps the city is hoping that if they encourage creativity no on will take the digital signs into their own hands and hack into the programming like what happened back in 2009. Wired writes that someone infiltrated the LED road signs and replaced practical messages with “The End is Near !!!,” “Zombies in Area – Run!” and “Nazi Zombies, Run!”
