In recent film history, this celebrity has become a very familiar face. Fans of his work will recognize him from such films as “Dallas Buyers Club,” in which he starred alongside Texas’s own, Matthew McConaughey. That movie earned him an Oscar, a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor, and a Golden Globe Award. He was also featured in the 2016 film “Suicide Squad,” in which he portrayed the Joker. However, most recently, his work as a singer has taken center stage, and to celebrate the latest album release of his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto has determined to make good on a promise to “hitchhike, walk, run, climb, bike and work” his way across the U.S.

Prior to commencing his hitchhiking trip, the 46-year-old made a pit stop at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, hanging out with XFINITY Series driver Tyler Reddick, and taking a 200-mph ride around the track. Like most NASCAR racing fans, after the ride, Leto said, “This was absolutely a dream come true,” telling the Star-Telegram that he was unsure how to react since the ride was so “intense.”

The actor and singer’s new album was released on April 6, and Thirty Seconds to Mars will be kicking off their upcoming tour on June 6, starting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and making three appearance in Texas – one in The Woodlands on July 6, another in Austin on July 7, and the third and final stop in Dallas on July 11. In addition to the new album, it’s reported that Leto has continued to work on a number of projects, including the film thriller “77,” which he is directing on behalf of Paramount Pictures, as well as reprising his role as the Joker for an upcoming DC Universe film.
