Chris Palmer thought he would never be able to walk his daughter down the aisle after becoming paralyzed, but a bionic suit changed that.

Four years after becoming paralyzed, Chris Palmer woke up and put on two types of suits. The first was one to match the theme of his daughter’s wedding. The second, well, was a little different. In a bionic suit, Palmer was able to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, something he had given up on doing.

Palmer was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer which paralyzed him. However, his daughter Heather spotted an article about Rex Bionics, a revolutionary company that was working to give paralyzed people the ability to walk and stand without assistance through their bionic suits.

She reached out, and her 55-year-old father was given the chance to try out this bionic suit on a very special day: her wedding. It’s hard not to well up as you watch him proudly move with his daughter down the aisle to cheering family and friends.

Moments like this remind us why technological advancements can be a good thing, and also just how strong the love between a parent and child is.
