Roll Through Stunning Bluebonnet Country Aboard a Luxury Tour Bus

This time of year in Texas is on many people’s “favorites” list. The weather is warming but not yet stifling, the trees and plants are beginning to wake up, and Spring is alive! Various shades of green can be seen across the state, but perhaps most especially in the Texas Hill Country. Hills and valleys are dotted with a generous helping of trees and a variety of wildflowers, not the least of which is the bluebonnet.

Only making an appearance for a small window of time in spring, bluebonnets are a Texas legacy. The bluebonnet is our state flower, of course, but also the backdrop to many family pictures and quintessential toddler photos. Most every family has “pictures of baby in bluebonnets” on their annual to-do list. Don’t delay; the bluebonnets are out in full force! Some years they are less abundant than others. With recent rain and inviting temperatures, this spring seems like a jackpot.

Taking a drive through smaller towns in Texas and even along state highways makes for great bluebonnet sight-seeing. In Dripping Springs, you can hop between wineries and breweries and see bluebonnets along each leg of your trip.

Better yet, let someone else do the driving while you enjoy the scenery and taste-test local brews. We recommend Longhorn Charter Bus for safe and easy traveling through Texas. They have offices across Texas, including Houston and Waco.

While you are savoring the wildflowers in Dripping Springs, don’t miss out on a visit to the Texas Hill Country Olive Company. Situated in the scenic hills of Dripping Springs, this one is worth a visit for lunch and to sample their wonderful olive oils.
