Bob Seger Announces Runaway Train Tour With 3 Texas Dates

By  |

Announcing the 2017 Runaway Train Tour, including dates in Austin and Dallas, Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band will go out on the road with special guest Nancy Wilson of Heart. Beginning August 30 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the tour is scheduled to make 23 stops between then and November 4, presently listed on Seger’s official website.

Venue dates are scheduled for Detroit (playing The Palace at Auburn Hills for its final event prior to closing and demolition), as well as large centers such as Cincinnati and Atlanta, but the best shows (at least we’d like to think so) will take place at his three shows in Texas.

On October 19 you can catch the party at The Woodlands, at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and on October 21, he’ll be in Dallas at the Ford Center at The Star. Finally, on October 24, he’ll make his appearance in Austin, here in the Texas Hill Country, at the Frank Erwin Center.

Tickets are available via venue websites and licensed ticketing agents, and the rates are quite reasonable for such a stellar show! Recognized for his significant impact on the musical touring industry, Seger performed “Heartache Tonight” in December 2016, honoring the Eagles, another industry powerhouse, at the Kennedy Center. Following that, in January of this year, he gave away the single “Glenn Song” online via his website, in tribute to Glenn Frey (of Eagles fame) with whom he was close. Seger is a class act, and if you’re not getting the chance to see him in Texas, you just might have to go out-of-state and you don’t want to have to do that.
