In the summertime, a Texan’s thirst knows no bounds. You might keep a big glass of ice tea ready, but sometimes you crave something sweeter. Luckily, “Bring Your Own Cup Day” is quickly approaching at convenience chain 7-Eleven, and that means that you can bring almost any vessel into the store to fill up with sugary Slurpee goodness.

KSAT writes that this Friday and Saturday (August 18th and 19th) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. customers will pay $1.50 to fill up their own cups. There are a few rules: “Cup must fit upright within 10”-hole, cup must be food-safe and clean, cup must be watertight, and one cup per person, on BYO Cup Day, please.”

Along with the regular flavors available, a few new additions will be in the mix to try: Pepsi Fire (which is Pepsi-cola with a cinnamon kick), along with lemonade, and a sugar-free option, watermelon lime.

People are known to come up with all kinds of colorful concoctions with a number of flavors. KENS 5 reminds viewers that they should post photos of the Slurpees with the hashtag #BYOCupDay to show off their incoming sugar rush and crash. Check out photos from last year’s event to gather ideas on what kind of “cup” to bring.

Throw🔙 to the past #byocupday. Planning out how to one up it this weekend. 🤔
