Bruce Robison is back in the saddle again! Bruce, Kelly, Dale, and Ray rocked the Austin City Limits Moody Theatre in mid-June despite Bruce recovering from a serious hospital stay. Bruce seemed eager, relieved, and grateful to be back onstage. Bruce and Kelly began the concert with “Girls All Look The Same When They Are Leaving” and followed with an uptempo “Border Radio.” Kelly Willis followed with her uptempo, twangy “Heaven Bound.”

Bruce and Kelly’s next song was “Carousel” which spoke of yesteryear and infused the steel guitar throughout the nostalgic song featuring the couple’s rich harmony. Bruce sang a few of his oldies but goodies such as “Traveling Soldier,” “The Good Life,” and “Wrapped.” Bruce and Kelly concluded with “Desperately” and “Angry All The Time.” As the couple exited the stage, the intense applause crescendoed and the crowd was moved to their feet for a standing ovation. Bruce & Kelly returned to the stage for the encore performance of the very fitting “What Would Willie Do.”

The entire night in between songs was suffused with authentic conversations and humor between Bruce and Kelly. Dale and Ray had equally original conversations and comedic charm that was infectious. There was a memorable and amusing introduction to “Hot Rod Lincoln” referencing Matthew McConaughey. Dale and Ray performed “Feeling Haggard” which was a song that was written shortly after Merle Haggard’s passing. Dale and Ray had a stage presence earned after years of experience.

Both Bruce & Kelly and Dale & Ray’s performances were riveting, engaging, and downright funny at times. He is scheduled to perform July 29, 2017, in Helotes, Tx at John T. Floore’s Country Store. He has various concerts booked spanning all over Texas. Most notably, the classic Hill Country venue is in Fredricksburg, Texas at Luchenbach Texas on September 2nd, 2017. In mid-September, his lineup even includes a road trip to Nashville, TN. Bruce seems to be back in the saddle again and his fans couldn’t be more grateful for his good health. Bruce Robison’s dedication, humble persona, authentic, & transparency is conveyed at every show. Kelly’s genuine nature illuminated the stage. Together this dynamic duo really set the stage on fire.
