Alcoa recently had its Central Texas land holdings, clocking in around 33,700 acres, appraised for sale at over $250 million.

The Aluminum Company of America is the world’s third largest producer of aluminum, but will split into two publicly traded entities this year. With the impending split in mind, the company is selling its huge tract of land in Milam and Lee counties.

As the Temple Daily Telegram reported, the company will be selling its “24,435 acres in Milam County, 8,714 acres in Lee County, and 629 acres in Bastrop County.” The land includes fourteen lakes and 48,379 acre feet of water. The water rights will go directly to the buyer.

The ranch, named Sandow Lakes Ranch, is priced at $250 million after a recent appraisal. Alcoa is ready to hear offers immediately, so if you’ve had your eye on a serious property buy, this could be the one for you!
