‘Christmas Vacation’ a Very Relatable Holiday Classic

By  |

The quintessential Christmas movie can be found in the family craziness that is 1989’s “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” starring Beverly D’Angelo, Chevy Chase, and of course, Randy Quaid. With nervous breakdowns, seasonal injuries, the standard family problems, this third film in the original 4-film series about the Griswolds would be something close to tender-hearted if it weren’t so darn true-to-life!

If there’s someone that can’t relate, they just might be lying. Just try and watch the scene where Clark blows up about his, “cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless…” boss, and not have a “mm-hmm” moment.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving, The Whole Year

And although you might not like it, you may also know a thing or two about a redneck cousin who’s been known to tell you his “sh*tter’s full!” This movie is ultimately “the gift that keeps on giving, the whole year,” and combined with many other Christmas classics, makes for a great binge-watching day at home for the holidays!
