In a hilarious Team Coco video, comedian Conan O’Brien joins the Johnson County, Texas Sheriff’s Department to become a deputy for a day. Conan has a blast riding around town and completely making up a case that needs solving.

Conan kicks things off with a ride-along, accompanying Deputy Damien Bethell. The duo pull over a truck carrying furniture that’s not strapped in securely. When Bethell tells Conan they’ll just help the guys out and then let them go, Conan replies, “So, you don’t think we need to shoot anybody?”

Their next stop is Alvarado General Store, where Conan learns that some box cutter blades were stolen and no police report was filed. The store manager sends Conan off to local store David’s next, jokingly telling him they were selling expired candy bars.

After scaring away several customers from David’s, Conan and Bethell go to visit Brian, who owns Indian’s and Outlaws Consignment Mall. Conan hilariously tells them, “I’ve been a lawman for over 48 minutes, and I’m telling you, something’s not right.”

Back at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Conan uses a whiteboard to map out his “case” of the missing box cutter blades and expired chocolate. This all leads him to suggest digging up a gazebo in the middle of town where they will uncover $600,00 in cocaine … and shooting Brian in the back.

If this hilarious sketch proves anything, it’s that Conan should never be allowed to be a lawman. Enjoy!
