Sometimes social media can provide the perfect platform to keep people accountable for their actions, but it can be used to jump to conclusions too quickly. MySA.com writes that a Temple man, Ronnie Frazho, posted a photo on Facebook of construction workers along South General Bruce Drive building a doghouse. “This is why the frontage road on General Bruce is taking forever!!! Anybody else need a doghouse,” he wrote as the caption. The post was quickly shared and commented on by many who were irritated to see the workers focusing on a different task than the unfinished road.

A spokesperson for TxDOT replied in the comments, saying that the men were most likely on their lunch breaks, which they can use to do as they please since they are not paid for that time. She went on to explain, “What’s taking so long to get the work done in this area is the need to move a water line. If we don’t move it, it will be broken and then all the businesses and homes in the area would have no water for as long as repairs took.”

Regardless of what’s “right” or “wrong” in this instance, it looks like there will be one happy pup with a new doghouse, which is something everyone can agree is a good thing.
