Elton John “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” Tour to Make 3 Texas Stops

If you’re a fan of Elton John, then you have only a few more shots of seeing him perform live. The singer announced recently that he was going to tour one last time, in the aptly-named farewell jaunt, “Farewell Yellow Brick Road.” John said on his website, “It’s time to come off the road so I can fully embrace the next important chapter of my life.” The three year long “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour will feature 300 shows, on five different continents and will conclude in 2021.

3 Texas Cities Will Host the Artist in December

Texas will play host to the “Rocket Man,” in Houston on December 8th and 9th; San Antonio on December 12; and in Dallas on December 14th and 15th. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 2nd and are expected to sell-out quickly. On his website, the singer promises, “a musical and highly visual journey spanning a 50 year career of hits like no one has ever seen before.”

More Than 300 Million Records Sold

Elton John was born in 1947 in the village of Pinner, just northwest of London, England. During his incredibly successful career, the singer has sold more than 300 million records and has received five Grammy Awards. He has also been named the 5th best selling musical artist in the world. Among his many musical accomplishments, John wrote and performed many of the songs from Disney’s “The Lion King”. Disney’s “The Lion King” soundtrack sold over 7 million copies and has had incredible success as a Broadway musical as well.
