Experience Your Summer Dream Getaway at Frio Country Resort

By  |

Some of the best memories of a lifetime are made on Texas rivers. The Frio River is one of the finest in the Lone Star State and complements the Hill Country quite well. With the addition of sun, cypress trees, food, and good company, this relaxing river becomes even more inviting. Now imagine staying out all day on the river and then walking back to your cabin, steps away from the action. Enter Frio Country Resort.

Frio Country Resort has been a family-owned operation for over 30 years. The enterprise was a dream realized for the Arthur family. The couple’s daughter, Casey Arthur Whatley, has since taken over the operation with her husband Bryan and longtime family friends, Patti and Tommy Van Pelt. They continue to make sure the family dream remains a reality.

Frio Country Resort offers a variety of options, all within steps of the river. From one bedroom to six, the resort can accommodate very small or large groups. So, whether you’re planning an intimate getaway at this family-friendly resort, a raging good time with friends, a wedding, or a golf excursion, they’ve got you covered. Cooking is no problem in the spacious kitchenettes, and you can dine inside or sit outside by the water. From most cabins, the river is visible from your front door, which makes sitting outside and watching the sun go down and the moon come up over the river a real treat.

You can even check out the pool, should you want a change from the river. The resort also houses a convenience store and gift shop that boasts some pretty wonderful souvenirs, as well as snacks from cheap to local gourmet.
