Have you ever thought about how fun it would be if adults got to go on field trips like school kids do? As adults, we tend to get hung up on the details of going fun places…who’ll drive? Where should we meet? How do you get there? If only there was a field trip for adults that took care of all of the details for you. Well, your wish has been granted because Do New Braunfels Grown-Up Field Trips in New Braunfels is doing just that.

Deep Eddy Distillery: October 14

On October 14, Do New Braunfels is hosting a field trip to Deep Eddy vodka distillery in Dripping Springs. For $30 per person, you can leave the driving up to the highly qualified Rockin’ R bus driver, and informative tour up to your tour host (Do New Braunfels owner Jan Kingsbury). Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the Deep Eddy campus, savor the vodka tastings, then have some lunch at one of the food trucks located at the distillery. The bus will bring you back to New Braunfels that afternoon. All you have to do is purchase tickets, show up at Rockin’ R at 10:00 a.m. on October 14, bring cash for your tastings, cocktails, and lunch, then sit back and relax on your organized, stress-free adult field trip.

Deep Eddy manufactures vodka products made of South Texas corn using continuous distillation in a column still. Deep Eddy Vodka is named after the Deep Eddy Pool in Austin, the oldest spring-fed swimming pool in Texas. Deep Eddy has made a name for itself both within the state and well outside of Texas as craft cocktails have become so popular all over the world. Deep Eddy infuses their vodka with fruit, giving it a unique and natural flavor, adding a punch to your craft cocktail.

Do New Braunfels!

Deep Eddy distillery seemed like the obvious next adult field trip for Do New Braunfels and Kingsbury. After a successful field trip to see the bat flight at Bracken Bat Cave (complete with Freetail Beer for the trip there), it was time to explore the Texas Hill Country’s latest obsession – distilleries.

The mission of Do New Braunfels is to help visitors enjoy New Braunfels like a local and to help locals enjoy their own city like a tourist. So, whether you’re a New Braunfels local or a visitor, plan to do an adult field trip with Do New Braunfels. Kingsbury takes the guesswork out of adult excursions. To learn more about the Deep Eddy field trip (and all future events), visit the Do New Braunfels website or follow them on Facebook.
