First-Ever Conroe Americana Music Festival Features Grassroots Texas Music at its Best

The inaugural Conroe Americana Music Festival is set to kickoff Friday, May 5 in Conroe, Texas featuring three full days of local festival venues and tent locations playing some of the finest Southern Texas country music, rockabilly, bluegrass, and folk. The Conroe Downtown Area Association made the event announcement back in December 2016, and since then, have released information on the 50 bands and 6 different venues that Conroe will play host to in one month’s time.

The downtown Conroe shopping/restaurant area will come alive as venues including The Corner Pub, The Red Brick Tavern, Conroe Sparkle Event hall, Martin’s Hall, and the addition of two outdoor tent facilities feature headliners such as Billie Joe Shaver, Dale Watson and Ray Benson, Ruthie Foster, and Dirty River Boys.

Proceeds from the festival and its amazing lineup will go towards beautification projects and signage in the Conroe area, with Community Youth Outreach (CYO) chosen as the charitable organization to receive 10 percent of net profits. Interested in attending? Festival-goers can buy a three-day wristband for entrance to all venues at a cost of $75 or a day pass for $35.
