To know about Movies Under the Stars, you have to read the Fredericksburg newspaper or subscribe to the Convention and Visitor Center newsletter, or perhaps visit LBJ National Historical Park.

Though not required, these two Fredericksburg business owners bring a picnic basket with interesting food, and are happy to share.

The film shown in July was the classic Sean Connery film featuring James Bond, “You Only Live Twice.”  The films shown are generally ones which were previewed in the LBJ White House (or at the Texas White House in the airplane hangar) by the President – before they were released.

You are invited, too.

Although this is, for the most part, a Fredericksburg crowd (the Insider knows this because he knows most of these people), there are people from the Kerrville area, and you are invited, too.  The next film is set for August 26, 2017, and will be “All The Way,” a movie about LBJ. Find out what it is like to be a Fredericksburg Insider. The films are shown near the old airplane hangar beside the 5,000-foot runway, parking is on a taxi-way, and there is no admission charge of any kind. Bring a chair or blanket and some interesting food and drink, and you too can be a Fredericksburg Insider.
