Renowned Artists in Galveston to Prepare Ice Land for Moody Gardens

Even though there are still a few weeks, even months, to go before the Christmas holidays, Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas is preparing its Ice Land attraction now. A report by ABC 13 identified that some renowned Chinese artists have arrived in the city as early as Friday, September 29 to assist in bringing this enchanted winter attraction to life.

This year’s holiday season at Moody Gardens will feature the icy work of art with a “Rainforest Holiday” theme, for which the artists are working as a team in shifts. Over the course of the next 43 days, the team will work around the clock, turning two million pounds of ice into something magical, making it a unique Gulf Coast Texas Christmas experience.

Scheduled to open on November 11 and remain open throughout the Christmas season, the holidays at Moody Gardens will not only feature Ice Land but will also have a Festival of Lights, Cirque Joyeux Noel, 3D films, Rudolph in 4D, an Arctic slide, ice skating, train rides, as well as live entertainment! From November 11 to January 7, they’ll also be hosting ice carver experiences and they’ll have special group rates and hotel packages in order for you to make the most out of your visit.
