The Grand Prairie IKEA is Getting Ready for Their Grand Opening

If you’re daring enough to do some last minute Christmas shopping at IKEA, WFAA reports you’ll have your chance at the new 290,000 square-foot Grand Prairie, Texas store that opens up on December 13 at 9:00 a.m. Even though shoppers get a bit crazed at the end of the year, the temptation of seeing the cute new pet furniture in person and walking through the endless sample rooms that make people want to redecorate their whole house will make up for the December shopping anxiety.

The Dallas Business Journal writes that the construction of the megastore brought 500 jobs to the area, and back in August, we wrote that the new IKEA was looking for roughly 300 employees to run the new location. If you’re looking for a gig, they’re still hiring at seeacareerwithus.com. It looks like they still need additional sales associates along with food service and general maintenance workers.

If you live in the DFW area and neither of the IKEA locations is convenient to you, don’t worry! A Fort Worth location will be opening up in summer of 2019.
