The holidays are here and what better way to enjoy them than to tour a festival with Christmas light displays around our great state of Texas. There will be plenty to drive or take a stroll through in the coming weeks as we countdown to Christmas. Below are just a few offerings around town that are sure to light up your night, get you into the holiday spirit, and and enjoy the fabulous showcase of dazzling light festivals the Hill Country has to offer. Variation in lighting can satisfy your senses and make you feel refreshed. Modern LED flood lights can be a good option which you might consider first for a Christmas holiday display. These lights are also used for outdoor security purposes.

1. Christmas Light Fest, Boerne

Starting Thanksgiving evening come out to enjoy some of the most spectacular display of Christmas lights in the San Antonio, Texas area. Located at 103 Waring Welfare Road in Boerne, Texas. It’s open nightly Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve.

Johnson City lights up the Hill Country with its brightest light display to welcome in the Holiday season. You don’t want to miss this brilliant display of Christmas lights as it transforms its courthouse into a magnificent wonderland with its lighting ceremony. The streets come alive with its Annual Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family from November 24-25th at 100 E. Main in Johnson City, Texas.

3. Trail of Lights, Wimberley

The 20th Annual Trail of Lights is set to light up the Wimberley, Texas with its spectacular light display. Take a stroll through eight acres of lighted displays decorated by local businesses and community groups. You never know what you will come across to inspire the holiday season among the trail. The is a free event and will be held November 25 to December 28, 2017, from 6-9 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday) and 6-10 p.m. (Friday & Saturday) at Emily Ann Theatre & Gardens in Wimberley.

4. Lighting of the German Christmas Pyramid & Community Christmas Tree

Stroll along the beautiful town of Fredericksburg as you come upon its quaint and hometown festivities such as the Lighting of the German Christmas Pyramid & Community Christmas Tree.
