The new iPhone X comes out tomorrow, and one of its main features is Face ID. On their website, Apple writes, “Your face is your password. Introducing a secure and private new way to unlock, authenticate, and pay – with just a glance.” Basically, instead of using a fingerprint or a code to open up the iPhone like on previous models, the iPhone X looks at your face, recognizes you, and grants you access.

Of course, this technology jump has some people wondering how good the phone will be at reading one’s face. In order to test out the new Apple product, Mashable got two sets of identical twins together to see if the iPhone X could tell them apart. Their YouTube video takes the viewer through the process of uploading one’s face and then examines the results. See the iPhone X in action in the clip below.

So the phone may or may not pass the twin test, but what about when someone makes a change to their face such as shaving their beard? Luckily, Tech Insider already tested this out in the video below. They also tried their own version of the twin test with differing results to Mashable seen here.
