In this new video, Irish people try American BBQ for the first time and some of their reactions are hysterical.

Ireland and the United States have fairly different styles of food. While neither group is a stranger to stick-to-your-ribs dinners of potatoes and meat, American BBQ cooked low and slow is still a tradition that most of Ireland hasn’t quite latched onto quite yet.

In this video, the three different pairs of taste-testers try ribs with BBQ sauce, brisket with mustard BBQ sauce, burnt end beans, pulled pork with chipotle sauce, and biscuits and gravy. While it’s not true Texas BBQ because hey, who uses sauce, it’s still hilarious to see their reactions to the different options.

One of the best parts is when one of the pairs is shocked that the ribs were cooked for 14 hours, which is why the meat is crumbly and delicious. Patience is a virtue when it comes to cooking, that’s for certain.

The two sides, burnt end beans and biscuits and gravy, had varying reactions across the board. The spiciness of the beans definitely didn’t sit well with some of the taste-testers, while others wanted to bathe in it.

Watch the video below to hear their hilarious reactions to American BBQ.
