June is a great month to celebrate anything, but first and foremost is Dad! Father’s Day is Sunday, June 18, and what better way to celebrate with him than to spend a day together in the Texas Hill Country!

Willow City Loop is one of the most colorful and peaceful drives this time of year and will take you winding roads lined with Texas wildflowers, before you decide what your next stop for Dad’s day will be…vineyards, peach and pecan orchards, or a small town to stop at an old fashioned general store or a funky little craft brewery!

Several great craft beer facilities pedal their award-winning beverages in the Texas Hill Country, and there’s even a Craft Cruiser based in San Antonio that can take you on a tour (pre-booked of course). With all of this going on locally, Dad can not only be celebrated just one day of the year, but as many of them as you like – depending on the number of places he’d like to check out! A beer tour, tastings and several special events can be visited on Father’s Day in the Texas Hill Country, so why not visit Hill Country Craft Beer Trail to learn more and maybe plot your route!

Easily one of the best places to find everything from barbecue joints to chicken fried steak, home cooking, authentic Mexican cooking, and some great Cajun, can be found in the Texas Hill Country. Dad will love a meal cooked over some hot coals for up to 10 hours (that’s some fall-off-the-bone meat right there,) not to mention homemade pickles, macaroni and potato salad, and just maybe he’ll top it off with a Shiner beer. The gang’s all here in the Hill Country, making sure Dad has a ball!
