By  |

We get that the King of Country Music has a tremendous amount of fans that reside outside of the Lone Star State. But, we can’t help but feel if they were truly from Texas, they’d understand an awful lot more about George Strait, his music, and what his motivation is. Not only is he an ambassador in his industry, but he represents his home state with pride and love, and that’s no small feat, considering the size of this state! Here are just a few things that belong in a guide on the man, and the legend, that is George Strait:

George Strait Jr. (AKA Bubba Strait) is in the business of songwriting as well. In fact, his song titled “Arkansas Dave” was featured in Strait’s last tour, as well as on the tour CD.

3. He’s a Record-Holder for Most CMA Awards in History

At the time of this article, Strait had been nominated for a CMA 83 times and had won 23. That’s more than any other country music artist in history! And, three of those were for Entertainer of the Year! Is it any surprise?
