H-E-B stores and Luby’s have teamed up to offer customers the warm, home cooked goodness of a Luby’s meal at home. Beginning this week, H-E-B will carry boxes of Luby’s famous square fish in the freezer section.

ABC 13 writes that Luby’s fried fish, also lovingly known as square fish, will cost $7.95 for two filets. MyStatesman points out that two filets will help you create four of your own LuAnn platters right at home along with their mac and cheese side dish that was released last year.

Luby’s Chief Operating Officer Peter Tropoli stated in a press release, “Whether you know it as fried or square fish, this piece of Texas culinary history is easily one of the most recognizable and most ordered dishes in the state. We’re proud to have H-E-B as a partner, making it any anytime meal for its legions of fans.”

Fans of the fried fish have already dug in according to the Luby’s Facebook page. “Had it last night. It was great. I did the fry method. Anyone try the bake method for comparison?” commenter Kevin Lawrence wrote. “Yes. It turns out great!” Mitch Hill eagerly replied.
