Before she was murdered in 1995, beloved singer Selena was working on a product line of cosmetics and perfume. Now, thanks to her fans championing the idea, MAC Cosmetics worked with Selena’s family to create a line of makeup that reflects her signature timeless style. The collection will reflect Selena’s iconic makeup including red lipsticks, a matte blush/bronzer powder, eyeshadow singles, and bold eyeliner.

Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, worked alongside MAC to make sure that the products would represent her late sister well. KHOU reports that she stated, “This line is not about color choices that I wanted or that MAC felt needed to be promoted or done. This line is solely based on Selena’s on- and off-stage look. They matched and created colors that Selena had in her makeup case. This line is her.”

The cosmetic line will make its debut on September 30 in Corpus Christi at a major event that will allow people to buy the makeup and exclusive merchandise as well as enjoy live music and food vendors. After the event, fans can scoop up the makeup on MAC.com starting October 1, and in stores beginning on October 6, until the products sell out (which is expected to happen).
