Visiting Marble Falls has been synonymous with water sports, water recreation, and living the easy life for a while. Well, now that can also be true in the quest for visiting their microbreweries. There are presently two to choose from, but you really don’t need to choose as much as simply sip and enjoy! The Double Horn Brewing Company and Save the World Brewing Co. are the two of which we speak, and if feeling like a refined connoisseur of great Texas beer is right up your alley, then look no further.

The Double Horn Brewing Company is located across the street from the Bluebonnet Café at 208 Avenue H in Marble Falls. They serve a refined yet casual dining menu alongside their Texas craft beer. Their mission is to “…capture, preserve, and celebrate the pioneering spirit and inventiveness of the rugged Texas souls who founded the little Texas communities that helped establish our great state…” They take their name from a former such little Texas community no longer in existence and give you a background of the name on their website. They feature a number of Double Horn brews, as well as some other Texas brewing company offerings, and their menu has great appetizers, entrees, and some local comfort food classics.

The Save the World Brewing Co. is a one-hundred-percent-philanthropic brewery, which they proudly post on their website and will answer questions about when you visit them. They craft artisanal beverages and do tours and tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. They have 14 offerings at present, and practice self-sustainability at their facilities, using solar power, greywater recycling, on-demand water heating and even offer electric car charging, free of charge (no pun intended). Their history dates back to 2012 when the husband and wife ownership team chose to leave their jobs as physicians to open the world’s first 100% philanthropic microbrewery. One of their webpage slogans, “Drink Our Beer, Save The World!” could be quite catchy among self-proclaimed cicerones!
