The newest craze to hit Texas opens up its first indoor axe throwing range in the state called Houston Axe. The latest in team building skills, workouts, and not to mention a great way to build up those arm muscles. According to the website, they even have an axe throwing league you can join that qualifies you for regional, national, and international competitions.

It’s the newest sensation hitting across the country (no pun intended). Houston, TX is among the many cities across the nation getting swept up in this unique activity and the first in Texas. A great stress reliever, to say the least. Folks in Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Chicago, and even across the world in places like London and Toronto are getting you pumped up and including this as part of a workout. The original concept began back in 2006 at Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL).

Check out the latest video from Houston Axe describing this newest sports sensation.

“Our Axe Throwing sessions are run by trained Axeperts who will show you how to safely handle an axe and chuck it with accuracy while giving you tips on how to capture that illustrious Bullseye,” shares its website.

You will spend anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours with friends, dates, co-workers, or whoever you share this experience with learning the ins and outs of axe throwing and unleashing your “inner lumberjack/jill.” At the end of your season, you’ll square off  in your groups for the title of “Axe Throwing Champion.”

As part of the league, you will train through an 8-week session preparing to qualify for outside competitions as well as bragging rights to determine the “Axe Throwing League Champion.” Visit their website at houstonaxe.com for availability, ticket information, and to learn more about this intriguing sport.
