Scheduled to open at The Rim in September, The Rustic (a well-known entertainment, food, and drink facility in Dallas), is gearing up for its San Antonio location which will feature a venue named for a partial owner of the project, Texas musician and singer, Pat Green. “Pat’s Backyard,” will be the setting for both ticketed and free musical events. It’s spacious outdoor setting, here in the Texas Hill Country, will be second in size to the Dallas operation, but according to company representatives, it will host live music seven-days-a-week, and still be able to hold one heck of a party

Closely modeled after its Dallas facility, according to Guide Live from the Dallas Morning News, The Rustic is among the largest sellers of liquor in North Texas, with more than $6 million in annual sales. Owners Josh Sepkowitz, Kyle Noonan, and famed Texas musical artist Pat Green are coordinating the move into the Texas Hill Country with a 28,000-square-foot venue located at 17619 La Cantera Pkwy. The Dallas location, which boasts a great menu of Texas-themed food featuring hints of Mexican influence, as well as plenty of live music, opened in October 2013 and has been a great success. Featuring over 40 beers on tap, 35 of which are Texas-made craft beers, the venue also serves wines and spirits which are also made in the Lone Star State.

In a press release, Noonan identified, “Our Texas-inspired menu will highlight all of Texas’ best cuisines, beers and liquors, and our guests can enjoy them all along with live music seven days a week. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the San Antonio community.” Planning to serve a “Sunday Supper” from 2 p.m. until closing time (with a choice of half chicken done two ways, or a delicious pork chop meal, both with unlimited sides), The Rustic will also serve the Texas favorites we know and love on a regular basis. Standard menu items include large, juicy steaks, brisket, giant orders of onion rings, Bandera quail, and even peanut butter pie to top it off. Brunch will also be a weekend staple, with Saturday and Sunday servings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the process of coordinating a soft opening, The Rustic is working on an exclusive VIP party September 28, including their unique combination of Texas-made food and specialty beverages, will be introduced. Although it wouldn’t be a surprise if Pat Green himself makes an appearance, there’s also slotted to be a “surprise guest musical appearance” for eager fans of the facility. Although this event is planned to be by invitation only, locals and statewide fans of the facility and its special brand of entertainment, food, and drinks, can follow The Rustic San Antonio on Instagram and Facebook for an opportunity to win tickets!
