Watson is a renowned Texas artist whose success strongly speaks for itself. “The Underdog,” his 2015 album, was the first to have reached the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart by a male artist recording on an independent label. He followed that up with a 2017 release entitled “Vaquero” which reached the number two position on the chart, and the first single released off the album, entitled “Outta Style,” became Watson’s first top-40 country radio hit. Green has consistently made his mark on the country music scene, both locally and nationally. With six top-10 albums to his credit and a number of hits including “Wave on Wave” and “Drinkin’ Days,” he’s a successful artist that fans of the festival can’t wait to hear.

The 5th annual Bud Light Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival can also boast 22 of the most celebrated Texas barbecue joints offering samples of their wares. Those noted as participating presently include Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ (Tyler), Black’s Barbecue (Lockhart, Austin, San Marcos), Louie Mueller Barbecue (Taylor), The Slow Bone (Dallas), and Hutchins BBQ (McKinney, Frisco), to name just a few. Festival promoter Chase Colton told local news outlets, “We are so excited to be celebrating our fifth anniversary of the Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival this year, and it just happens to be on Cinco de Mayo. We are honored to be able to keep holding this event in Downtown Tyler and we are looking forward to our fifth party being our best one yet.”
