Rodeo Houston Announces 2017 Entertainment Lineup

Soon after you’ll see the carnival go up and the anticipated World Championship Bar-B-Que contest, also known as the “Cookoff”, which marks the opening of what’s sure to be another record breaking Rodeo.

This year is sure to bring more than a few record-breaking performances with the outstanding lineup set to take the stage in March.

According to Wikipedia, in 1993, Tejano superstar Selena broke attendance record at the Astrodome by drawing a crowd of exactly 57,894 fans. In 2013, George Strait, Martina McBride, and the Randy Rogers Band set a new all-time attendance record with 80,020. And in 2016, Banda Los Recoditos/Los Huracanes Del Norte broke the all-time Go Tejano Day attendance record with 75,508.

As Aaron Watson stated, “What an incredible lineup. You guys come out and join us on Tuesday, March 7 and we’re gonna honky tonk the Houston Rodeo.”

Rodeo Houston is held at NRG Stadium. So, be sure to grab your tickets when they go on sales January 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. Get ready to be inspired by not only the array of musical genres and live entertainment, eye-popping art displays, and one-of-a-kind desserts, but all this under one umbrella of excitement that benefits our youth and supports education and leadership while bringing a hometown together beaming with pride!
