On Wednesday night, a burglar (or burglars) broke into the Royal Pet Palace on Fair Avenue in San Antonio and stole seven puppies. They attempted to take eight, but dropped one on the floor and left it as they made their escape. KSAT writes that the stolen dogs were “Pekingeses, a Micro Teacup Morkie, and a Maltese.”

KENS 5 points out that whoever took the puppies completely ignored the register and didn’t rummage around looking for cash. Perhaps the thief figured the dogs themselves were worth more than the money in the register as the pups at Royal Pet Palace range from $1500 to $3000.

But to Royal Pet Palace’s Jessica Loven, the dogs mean more than just dollar signs. “A lot of dogs, a lot of value, but the most heartbreaking thing is these dogs are in our care, and we know how to take care of them, and we’re just worried about where they are and their safety,” Loven told KENS 5.

Photos of the stolen puppies are on the company’s website. If the website is down, pictures of the dogs can be seen here in a slideshow via KSAT. If you have any knowledge regarding the whereabouts of these animals, contact the pet store at 210-928-9105 or notify the police.
