See Legends of Texas Music Live at Fischer Haus

By  |

Located in Fischer, Texas, between Blanco and New Braunfels, Fischer Haus is a turn of the century historic Victorian farm “haus” that has been remodeled and lovingly restored. Available for rent, the home has four private bedrooms all with private baths. The Haus is available for renting for a day, a weekend, or a week. Coffee, juice, and condiments are available in the Haus, with a fully equipped kitchen available for your use. In addition to the rooms in the Haus, there is also camping available – some sites with electric hookups.

Another big draw for the property is its concert series. Featuring such names as Uncle Lucius, Fred Eaglesmith, Tif Ginn, and this week’s performance by Texas legend Gary P. Nunn, the concert series are private (although, one only needs to RSVP online to attend) and intimate concerts that the whole family can enjoy.

Gary P. Nunn performs this Saturday, August 12 at 8:30 p.m. at Fischer Haus. According to his bio, Nunn is “a founding father of the progressive country movement (out of Austin) in the 1970s that changed the face of popular music. Nunn is also an independent music pioneer who continues to oversee his own record label and song publishing companies, manage his own career (with the help of his wife Ruth), and play most every weekend at top music venues throughout Texas and beyond.”

Probably best known for the songs, “The Last Thing I Needed, The First Thing This Morning” and “London Homesick Blues” (which you might, like us, think was called “Home With the Armadillo”), Nunn is still going strong on the Texas music circuit and beyond.
