Earlier this year, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced their plans to close Power Surge, one of the park’s original rides. Now, MySA.com writes that another classic Fiesta Texas ride will soon make its final journey. On January 7, the 15-year-old Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters will shut down for good to make way for a new attraction.

As seen in a POV ride-through video uploaded by Sharp Productions (below), the ride swirls through a dark, cartoony world featuring ghosts and, of course, Scooby-Doo characters while passengers shoot at targets with handheld blasters to gain points.

Those who found out the news of the ride’s closure on the KXAN Facebook page voiced their opinions about the theme park’s decision. Many people remarked that it was their favorite ride to cool down in since it featured a theme park luxury – air conditioning. Others simply loved the child-friendly theatrics of it. Yadira Castañeda Juarez said, “My son loves that ride! I hope they replace it with something else for little ones,” and Jon Rhoads added, “Can you explain that to my 6 year old? I don’t want to.”

The only news about the replacement attraction says that it will be a “dark ride,” meaning an indoor ride that transports passengers to a new environment (hopefully with air conditioning).
