Stolen Dogs Cause Confusion in Pflugerville

Last week, Pflugerville resident Kentavious Henderson released a video of a woman stealing his dogs named Rocky and Panda in broad daylight. Henderson uploaded the footage obtained from his home security system and contacted the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. KVUE reported on the story, and everyone seemed appalled at the situation.

A day later, Henderson grinned ecstatically from ear-to-ear, full of relief that his two dogs were returned. The woman who took them confessed to KVUE that it was “a big misunderstanding.”

The woman actually lives in the same neighborhood as Henderson and spotted the dogs when she was getting her mail. She watched them run around for a while and eventually end up on a front porch. The woman did not realize they had simply run home.

After knocking on the door of the home and getting no answer, she assumed the dogs were lost and took them with her. She posted their photo on social media and began filling out forms for Pflugerville Pets Alive before she found out what she had accidentally done.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office will not press charges, and even though Henderson doesn’t like how the woman handled the situation, he’s thrilled to have his best friends back home.
