Every once in a while, we may lament the fact that we never went to summer camp as a kid. There could be any number of reasons why we didn’t go – from family budget to timing, to the necessity to stay home with younger siblings. If you were among the group that did, however, then good on you! But those that didn’t often wonder what it would have been like, and a handful are able to live vicariously through their own children; passing that opportunity to them right here in the Texas Hill Country, where some truly amazing summer camps exist. The chance to pitch a tent, build a fire, canoe or make crafts, or make long-lasting friendships and memories is something you grow up to realize you really enjoyed, and oftentimes becomes a large part of summer holiday memories. If you’re looking to plan that opportunity for your own child or grandchild this summer, here are some great Texas Hill Country summer camp options your child would love to attend.
