Thousands of people are anticipating the 27th annual Texas Hunters & Sportsman’s Expo, being held July 21 to 23, at the McAllen Convention Center. Numbering in the tens of thousands, actually, visitors to the show can expect to see everything outdoors, ranging from hunting tour companies to cars, ATVs to clothing, guns and ammunition and seminars on ethical hunting practices, and even poaching.

Longtime visitors are drawn to the show year after year as it consistently produces the products and information that they love and want to see. They also witness new additions to the event lineup each year, which has grown to accommodate the many hunters and ranchers of the Rio Grande Valley who have seen the event grow as new trends and products are added.

Featuring experienced outfitters and guides, exotic wildlife ranches, fishing guides, major boat & RV dealers, as well as the foremost conservation groups, the Texas Hunters and Sportman’s Expo has made it convenient for guests to enjoy the sports and equipment that they love while contributing to the local Rio Grande Valley economy.

The convenience of having all of the products on display and available to be sold under one roof is also one of the chief reasons visitors attend the event on a yearly basis. It also gives avid outdoors people the opportunity to window shop and compare, while also seeing the products first-hand, as opposed to online. The event also teaches and promotes ethical hunting and fishing practices incorporating the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department into event seminars as well as designing sessions that are also suitable for children who want to learn about the sports their parents are enthusiastic about. A true benefit to all event attendees is the personal connection with not only the vendors but also the Texas Park Rangers.

Running Friday through Sunday in McAllen (visit the event website link here for scheduling details), the Texas Hunters and Sportsman’s Expo allows guests the opportunity to speak to sales representatives, see live tests on products, and get a sense of what will effectively work best in the field rather than reading a review. And giving a sportsman the opportunity to interact with those that they may do business with is never a bad thing. Children 12 and under are admitted free, while adults pay $12 and seniors gain entry for $10. For more details about the show, its vendors, and sponsors, visit their website or contact them directly at 956-664-2884.
