Many of you out there are truly great list-makers. You understand the power of a good list and what you can accomplish with it. Others, however, might wonder just how much of what you write on a used envelope can really change your life. Well in the realm of things to do in or achieve in Texas, apparently scads! Lists can go beyond helping you remember what to buy at the supermarket or “to-do’s” to get done throughout the day. They can help solidify your goals and make them more attainable. So let’s look at some Texas “listful” thinking in terms of lists you need to make for 2017.

1. A Texas Travel Wish List

A Texas travel wish list for 2017 would be pure fun to make, and having one will keep you motivated and looking forward to something. And if you have the time and money to travel Texas several times throughout the year, give some thought to separating your list into two sections—larger trips and short, day-trips.

2. A Texas Bucket List

A Texas bucket list in 2017 is a good way to establish goals for yourself outside of a work context. This list can and should include all types of things like visiting a certain restaurant, visiting a special festival, seeing a specific concert. Build that Texas bucket list now, and do all that you can do this year!

3. A Future Texas Goals List

A future Texas goals list is a well laid-out listing of future personal goals to help you stay focused and perhaps make better choices. Listing things such as running a marathon, helping a charity, and volunteering for a local project is arguably the first and most important step in guaranteeing you reach those goals. And similar to the Texas travel wish list, you can make both long- and short-term goals for yourself. While you’re at it, add “Enjoy my Texas listful thinking” to your lists!
