Texas Singing Sensation Randy Rogers is Opening a New Restaurant and Music Venue

By  |

Local media have announced that Randy Rogers will soon be making the move into the food industry with a restaurant and music venue called ChopShop Live, opening in Roanoke, Texas. Partnering with the restaurateurs behind Prohibition Chicken in Lewisville and the Arts District Asian restaurant Musumé, Rogers has scheduled the grand opening for Saturday, July 14.

ChopShop Live is designed to be a larger, more music-oriented version of the ChopShop Sports Garage in Carrolton, which is also owned by Rock Libations group (the industry names behind Rogers’ project.) The space is anticipated to hold up to 1,200 eventgoers in conjunction with added space at the restaurant and bar.

Making use of salvaged furnishings and shipping containers, the bar is being designed by GFF Architects’ Levi Hooten. The shipping containers will be designed as “private suites” which can then be reserved for larger groups. The restaurant portion of ChopShop’s Roanoke location will serve standard bar food fare, which includes nachos, chicken wings, and a tasty little number called “spark plugs” – deep fried, pimento cheese-stuffed jalapeños served with ranch dipping sauce. Rogers is expected to play an inaugural concert at the new Roanoke venue beginning at 5 p.m. on opening day, so be prepared for a heck of a turnout!
