Federal and state authorities are investigating to determine whether gunfire that struck a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and US Border Patrol agent near Roma, TX, was targeted or unintentional. The trooper, who was airlifted to a hospital in McAllen, was wounded in the leg and right abdomen and is expected to recover, while the border patrol agent was uninjured thanks to his ballistic armor.
