There couldn’t be a more appropriate time than Memorial Day weekend to honor our fallen heroes that sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Many people will never make it to Washington D.C. to visit the original Vietnam Wall, so the Vietnam Traveling Wall comes to the people, and has made its way to New Braunfels Tree of Life Church on Thursday May 26, 2016.

Opening ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 7 p.m., and a memorial service will be held on Monday May 30, 2016 at 11 a.m.  Following the service there will be a BBQ.  The wall will be at the Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels until June 5, 2016, and after that time, it will travel on to Wisconsin. You can visit the wall day or night. For Veterans who would like an opportunity to guard the wall, there will be 2-hour shift you can volunteer for at  www.signupgenius.com. The original memorial in Washington D.C. opened on November 13, 1982.
