Vinyl Releases of George Strait Music Are a Collector’s Dream Come True

With some sweet vinyl offerings for those of you who love to collect, UMG Nashville provides George Strait fans with some items given the artist’s stamp of approval that they won’t want to miss out on. In particular, his “Ocean Front Property” album, which is now celebrating 31 years since its release (January 12, 1987), has a 30th anniversary LP version out that will impress the best of them.

Strait’s seventh studio album, “Ocean Front Property” was released by MCA Records and was the first to ever debut at the number one spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. It’s now certified two-times multi-platinum and features 10 tracks, including track four on side one of the vinyl production which is the title track. Other hits, such as “Am I Blue” and “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” are available on side one, but side two is also well worth the listen (if you determine to open the packaging and actually play the vinyl!)

Three other vinyl offerings are available to Strait fans through the UMG Nashville link, including the “Pure Country” soundtrack LP. The movie and soundtrack release celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2017, marking the singer’s transition into acting and his devoted fans’ following him to see it at over a quarter of a century this year. Those who collect George Strait memorabilia, or who watch for new releases of his music and material in varied formats can appreciate seeing these types of tributes to the media mogul. You’d almost have to crawl out from under a rock to say you don’t know who he is, or what his contributions to the country music industry or to the state of Texas have been. But, to those of you that fall into the category that hasn’t been somehow made unaware of this country troubadour and want to add to your collection of wonderful Strait music and memorabilia…you’re welcome!
