Happening this Saturday, June 16, Garrison Brothers Distillery in gorgeous Hye, located in the Texas Hill Country, will be hosting their annual Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner even from noon until 4 p.m. The event focuses on celebrating all things Hye-related together with its sister-city, Stonewall. Combining an amazing classic country menu with some excellent beverages, the event description notes, “The parties are BYOB though we’ll have some beer there. We’ll also be drinking wines from William Chris Vineyards, lemonade, iced tea, peach-bourbon tea, and of course, plenty of good bourbon.”

Immediately following the Peach Parade, held at the 57th Annual Stonewall Peach JAMboree, everyone is invited to Garrison Brothers Distillery for a fried chicken lunch in their barrel barn. Lunch is first-come-first-served, so visitors are asked to come early since the distillery will most definitely run out of chicken! Other menu items include potato salad, coleslaw, and biscuits and gravy. One highlight of the event is the Barrel Barn Hoedown which boasts the live whiskey and wine barrel auction (featuring six bourbon barrels which were bought at last year’s auction, painted by local artists, and donated back for this year’s event). And you don’t want to miss some great live music by Mark Powell and Lariat.

Guests to the Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner event can choose to have their lunch served at the Garden Party (underneath the live oaks on the property, in the comfort of a well-ventilated tent), or in the Barrel Barn. The Garden Party tent will feature a washer tossing tournament as well as acoustic music by Scooter Pearce. Tickets are available at the link provided here. Garrison Garden Party tickets go for $25, Barrel Barn Hoedown tickets also sell for $25, and if you choose an All Access Pass, the cost is $40, but you’ll also be able to eat at either location and move between parties during the course of the day.
