Known for its diverse assortment of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment venues, The Woodlands, Texas plays host to many big-name concert headliners at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion as well as a number of free events through “Concerts in the Park” at Northshore Park, where locals and visitors alike can bring their own lawn chairs or blankets as well as coolers of food to be able to sit and enjoy the shows on the lawn. A stone’s throw from Houston, they really know how to put on a great show, no matter what the venue!

If you’re looking to enjoy a day on the water, the Riva Row Boat House offers kayak rentals for a paddle in a designated area, or you can tour The Woodlands using the Waterway Cruisers (water taxis) which operate on weekends, carting you throughout the waterway which is lined with shops and restaurants, as well as local parks. Speaking of which, the Fountains at Waterway Square in the center of all the shopping attractions are choreographed to music and scheduled to play throughout the day.

Getting About Town

The Town Center Trolleys operate seven days per week, free of charge, helping visitors and locals get around their approximate three-mile route through The Woodlands shopping and entertainment district. This service was recently enhanced to include a third trolley in efforts to reduce wait times and extend service provision. In the Texas heat, that can be a lifesaver! Similarly, AC can be found on the water taxis, which might be a considerable treat depending on the day you choose to visit. A Texas day-trip to The Woodlands is filled with opportunity!
