The Sauer-Beckman Farmstead is a living history project at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site. This year, as in previous years, it will be the scene for “Easter at the Farm,” teaching about 1915 German family farming life together with Easter celebrations, complete with traditional Easter Lamb Cake and décor, dying eggs naturally, and creating a grass Easter nest. Sure to be a great learning experience and a low-key way to teach children about a non-commercialized Easter, this event is a Hill Country hit.
