4th of July Festivals to Catch in the Hill Country

The 4th of July is a day to remember the historic Declaration of Independence drafted by Thomas Jefferson and its significance of celebrating this day as the birth of American Independence as shared by www.history.com.

A federal holiday dating back to 1941, but whose traditions of Independence day celebrations goes back to the “18th century and the American Revolution (1775-83),” shares the history channels website. Families and friends gather together and celebrate the 4th with festivals, fireworks, parades, concerts, barbecues and more. Below are 5 festivals around the Hill Country to light up your festivities this 4th of July.

Enjoy the comforts of a small town festival rich in cultural history as it celebrates the 4th of July. A celebration complete with a parade through town, mouthwatering barbecue, live music, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.

San Antonio 4th of July Celebration

The City of San Antonio brings you a free Independence day celebration like no other. Sponsored by H-E-B and the San Antonio Parks Foundation.

The festivities begin at 8 a.m. in Woodlawn Lake Park. There will be Zumba, line dancing, a mechanical bull, live music, a parade, and the granddaddy of all an  H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza, shares its website. Great food, a carnival and fun for the whole family this Independence day.
