Every day, if you’re lucky, you’ll probably read at least two to five full blog posts, not all of which are about this great state we live in. You probably thoroughly enjoy their pictures, their content, and the amazing way the writer appeared to be in your head, telling “it” like it is. There are some astonishing content writers that share fabulous “it”stories on a daily basis (imagine if fabulous ended in “sh” and repeat that last line – just for a laugh!) But what they don’t do is tell you why you need to know what they’re posting. There are blogs for every “how to” under the sun: How to Raise Rhode Island Reds, How to Visit Alaska in Winter, How to Do a Cleanse… Now switch out the word “how” with the word “why”. We’ll wait. Is there really a good reason to visit Alaska in winter? Now let’s talk about “why” you need to read this post about Texas.

Where else can you grow up learning that Armadillos only give birth to identical quadruplets, or how to pronounce Boerne (hint: it’s not “feel the Boerne”), or that hearing the word “y’all” can be a truly uplifting experience?

We’re certainly a state full of machismo, but we also show you bluebonnets in the spring, everything we say mixed with a touch of Spanish seems romantic (try saying “I did the dishes” that way and tell us that doesn’t sound amazing!!), and we know all four seasons are about to hit you in one day so we’ve got your umbrella, winter coat, mini fan, and rubber boots waiting by the door.
